There are many people who want
to break into the career or get involved in the industry of their dreams. Often
times the best way to impress those already in the field is to work hard, show
ambition, and gain experience. For many young individuals hoping to start a
professional career this means a strong educational platform to work off of.
This is equally true for Sofia Sondervan.
Sofia Sondervan attended New York University's
Tisch School of the Arts in order to learn
about directing as well as get an understanding of the film industry. While

at Miramax Films.
In order to gain experience,

Sondervan wrote, directed, and produced her final thesis film for NY called Je maintiendrai.

the film industry included a period of time with when she was the Head of East
Coast Production for ContentFilm. The first three full feature films she worked
on were Party Monster, The Hebrew Hammer, and Rick in 2001. She also contributed to
the films The Cooler and Thank You for Smoking. It was also at
ContentFilm that she executive produced The
King in 2005.
